Description

Remember the good old Tile Puzzle? It’s now available for the iPhone and iPod Touch - but with a little twist - this is not the plain old tile puzzle from the old days (but you can play it in the ‘classic mode’ if you miss those days). There are now new ways to move the tiles around - the ‘classic’ way with one missing tile where you move them with help of the empty space, the ‘swap’ mode where you can swap neighboring tiles and the the ‘wrap’ mode where the tiles you move ‘off the screen’ will reappear on the other side. You can switch between the modes within the same game - sometimes you have to do it since no other good moves are possible to solve - sometimes you should do it to get a better score.

The game keeps track of the number of moves you make and the time you need to solve the puzzle. There are three categories for the highscore: Time, number of moves and moves per minute - there are many ways to win - if you are under the top 10 in at least one of those categories, you will be entered in the Hall of Fame (for each winning category).
For the game you have the choice of any puzzle size from 3x3 up to 6x6. The design can be a plain plastic like one (showing green for correct position and red for wrong - great for small kids) - or you can create your own Picture Puzzle by using any picture from your iPhone/iPod for it. You can select either one of the 20 pictures that come with the application or you can select any picture from your album or use the build in camera in the iPhone to create your on puzzle while in the game. Real experts play with just the picture, beginners can select an option to show the ‘number’ on the photo tiles to make it easier to find the correct spot - still lost? Just hit the ‘hint’ button and it will show the the correct positions for three seconds (but that will add three seconds to your play time ...).

How to play:
To get to the menu, just tap twice on the screen - there you have a quick switch between the play modes, can go to the options to change size or picture, use the ‘hint’ to see where tiles belong or visit the hall of fame. Of course at any time you can press the ‘shuffle’ button the restart or the ‘solve’ button to solve the puzzle (sorry, but this will not be added to the Hall of Fame - if you want you name to show up there, you have to solve it yourself
