Somewhere between “ridiculously addictive” and “throw your iPhone across the room”

I really like Ion Charge. It’s different, it’s well constructed, and it’s kind of cerebral.

grows on you and makes a little home in your brain
Slide and tap to charge your ion.

I’ve heard stories about a famous game designer who used to test the interface for his games by seeing if he could play while smoking a cigarette with his other hand.

My test for the interface of this game was seeing if I could play with one thumb while lying on the couch and watching 30 Rock reruns. Success! You can play this game with either intense precision in search of a faster time, or casually while waiting in line at the supermarket.

Tap the left side of your screen to give your ion a negative charge. Tap the right side to give your ion a positive charge. Use this charge to collect chips and move your ion towards charged towers scattered throughout the levels.

Unlike other marble labyrinth or maze games you don't use tilt or the accelerometer to move the ball around the levels. You need to use magnetic forces to push and pull your ion through the level. This makes the game quite challenging and addictive.

Features a one-finger control scheme, specifically designed for one-handed iPhone gaming.

Oh, I almost forgot: you can keep listening to your iPod music while you play!
