Founded in 2003, BraFM is a web-based radio station broadcasting Brazilian culture and music worldwide. In the beginning, only MPB (Brazilian popular music) was played. Overtime, other types of music, such as American music, Sertanejo Universitário, and a bit of Bossa Nova, were added. This mix makes BraFM a radio station that is enjoyable to listen to, where the listener does not lose touch with the past while listening to current releases.

Since its creation, BraFM has provided its audience around the world, with the highest quality sound over the internet. With a significant audience in the United States, the station continues to grow every day all over the world. It is the first and only radio station to cover Brazilian Day in New York, interviewing artists, producers and the public, giving live flashes of the biggest party for Brazilians outside of Brazil, with professionalism and quality. In November 2009, the station launched a new application, BraFM Mobile, for Iphone and Ipod, with the slogan "Take BraFM wherever you go".
On the latest site of BraFM, you will find new music releases, information and news. You can still interact with the network on social networks, and receive the feed - the news posted on the site - which can be added to the Favorites on your PC. Any reports or musical highlights posted on BraFM can be shared. The site also broadcasts the 10 current most-popular songs. A listener can listen to the music without downloading it and have a preview of a singer’s new songs.
