Vocabulary app for early readers. "Expensive words" are words that go beyond the simple word for a given thought. For example, 'joyful' instead of just 'happy' or 'dreadful' instead of just 'bad'.

The object is to spell the expensive word for the given clue. The clue may be a synonym for the expensive word or just a definition. Spelling the expensive word can be difficult for early readers so the lookup dictionary is provided to help (during the game) . Additionally, they are not required to spell the word just select the letters that appear in the word. While scoring a high number is the child's goal the bigger objective is for him/her to expand their vocabulary. As the child learns the world they can be encouraged to try and play without using the dictionary. Particularly if they want to challenge a parent.

Points (appearing as Expensive Word money) are awarded for spelling the expensive word. The fewer the number of errors (picking a letter not in the word) the more points scored. A perfect score for a word is ten points (10.00).

Up to five user accounts can be maintained to track a user's running score.
