Description

Palm-size picture book of sequential drawings is considered the predecessor of Manga. JinPingMei, also known as The Plum in the Golden Vase, is a Chinese naturalistic novel written during the late Ming Dynasty. The author is Lanling Xiaoxiao Sheng. JinPingMei is cometimes considered to be the fifth classical novel.
This book contains 98 sequential drawings of JinPingMei in Simplified Chinese.

《金瓶梅》，中国四大奇书之一，作者署名明代兰陵笑笑生。小说根据《水浒传》中西门庆勾引潘金莲，杀武大郎，最后被武松所杀的情节展开，略加改动，描写了西门庆从发迹到淫乱而死的故事。本书以连环画形式，以连续的图画叙述故事、刻画人物，这一形式题材广泛，内容多样，是老少皆宜的一种通俗读物，被认为是现代漫画的前身。
