Description

Snakes and ladders is a classic children's board game. Also widely known as Chutes and Ladders in United States.

It is played between 2 or more players on a playing board with numbers from 1 to 100 on grid squares. On certain squares on the grid are drawn a number of "ladders" connecting two squares together, and a number of "snakes" also connecting squares together. When a player lands on a square containing the foot of a ladder, they move up to the top of the ladder. When a player lands on a square containing a snake's head, they move down the snake, right down to the end of the snake's tail. The first player to reach 100 wins the game.

The game's simplicity and the see-sawing nature of the contest makes it a widely popular game and equally enjoyed by children as well as adults.
