Description

As one of the leading opera houses in Europe, the Hamburg State Opera offers its visitors a diverse programme ranging from Baroque to Contemporary including the most popular operas of Händel, Telemann, Mozart, Verdi, Puccini, Wagner, Strauss, Tschaikowsky and rarities of modern music theatre. The Australian conductor Simone Young has been Artistic Director since 2005. As well as new productions of contemporary works, she launched a new cycle of Wagner’s “Ring des Nibelungen” to the very highest critical acclaim.
The world famous Hamburg Ballet has been under the direction of John Neumeier for almost four decades.

The State Opera-App provides an overview of the current programme with all dates, casting and information about the productions. It also offers video-clips and biographies of the artists. The simple navigation enables a quick search of the programme for works and dates.
