This updated and enhanced app is for those who wish to enhance their knowledge and enjoyment of wine. It is your own connoisseur’s reference tool, providing the very best information on the wines you already enjoy and encouraging new discoveries.

The app has all the qualities and depth of information which have made Hugh Johnson's Pocket Wine book a bestseller for over 30 years.
You can explore wines by country, region, grape variety, rating and colour, or search for Hugh's personal recommendations.

You can also read Hugh’s Agenda 2012, the Vintage Report for 2010, and take a closer look at the world of wine in 2009. Additional information on subjects such as the right temperature at which to serve different wines and features such as 'If You Like This, Try This' make this app much more than a simple listing of wines. The app is also now enabled to receive new articles. These will update automatically on your device as long as you have an internet connection.

By popular demand, there is a full glossary to help you with specific definitions and technical terms. We’ve also improved the Favourites section. You can now add wine you have found through exploring the app to your Favourites and create your own lists (eg 'My Christmas List'). 'Read Later' allows you to note wines that you want to return to and you can add your own personal notes to each wine for future reference.

Finally, there are two themes to choose from to suit your own style. Click the Settings wheel in the top-right corner of the homepage and decide how you want your app to look.
