Description

Families of premature babies finally have an app designed especially for their practical and emotional needs - a complete tool kit conceived by experts on prematurity that is also gorgeous and fun to use.

MyPreemie contains a “Pocket Guide to Preemies,” comprehensive information at your fingertips to browse or search. With each topic come suggested questions to ask the doctor or nurse so you can understand what’s happening with your baby. Special preemie growth charts show whether your baby’s growth is on track. Convenient To-Do and To-Ask lists keep you organized. And a beautiful diary highlights the events and feelings, ups and downs, that go along with a premature birth. Artfully illustrated to provide color and joy at a stressful time, it will be your trusted guide and comforting companion, always available on your iPhone, iPad, iPad Mini, or iPod touch.

MyPreemie’s contents were written by two parents of preemies and a neonatologist, the authors of Preemies: The Essential Guide for Parents of Premature Babies, the book that is considered the “bible” for families of premature babies.

Features
• Pocket Guide to Preemies – a reference guide offering accurate, clear, concise explanations on over one hundred health and developmental issues of prematurity, with a Search feature and suggested questions to ask about your own baby.
• Remember To Ask or To Do lists – with one tap you can transfer suggested questions from the Pocket Guide, and keep personal to-do tasks organized.
• Our Diary – a daily journal with easy to complete prompts to chronicle your preemie’s major events and photos, and your own feelings. Multiple users, such as Mom and Dad, are able to merge their pages into a shared diary.
• Trackers – a few taps record your preemie’s daily weight, length, and head size and automatically plot them on preemie growth charts to show whether your baby is growing as expected from delivery through hospitalization and the first months at home.
• Treasured Mementos – a checklist of meaningful objects from a preemie’s early days for you to gather as keepsakes, and space to add your own.
• Share – it’s easy to post your Diary and other pages of MyPreemie on Facebook, send them by email, or print them as PDFs to save.
• Hand-drawn illustrations – the app’s delightful images bring pleasure and comfort, giving parents of preemies a warm “mom and dad” experience they may be missing while their baby is in the hospital.
