Description

Trolley Vault lets you send documents or photos and videos from your iPad, iPod Touch or iPhone to a Mac on the same network running the free TrolleyVaultServer software. The server requires a 64-bit Mac running OS X 10.7 or later and is available from www.simpsonics.co.uk

Currently supported document types are:
Pages, Numbers, Keynote, Word, Excel, Powerpoint, text, rich text, images, audio and video. If you come across an unsupported type, email [email protected] with details and I'll add it as soon as possible.

We use it at my school on our iPad trolley in the library - the iPads are managed using Apple Configurator and we use Trolley Vault to let the pupils send work to the Mac managing the trolley before they hand back the iPads - once they go back into the trolley, they are wiped.

It’s a very simple app - if you use ‘Open In’ from any app that supports it and select TrolleyVault, you are given a list of available servers. Pick one and the file is transferred. If you just open the app from the springboard, selecting an available server allows you to choose an item from the camera roll to transfer.
