Description

This free application provides an English word look up through the well known on-line site, Wiktionary, where you can check for the meaning of words.

Available options allow looking up a word that you can use in a game of SCRABBLE® or Words With Friends, or to verify a word that you want to play.

In the standard English version of the application, the word lists are comprised of several publicly available, expert approved word lists, used in English speaking countries around the world.

If you are a language student, or a speaker of French the same validation functionality is available with the standard SCRABBLE® dictionary for French.

There are also options for powerful searches that will tell you what you can play on the game board, based on what you have in your 'rack' and what you can see on the game board. It's a great tool to help you develop an eye for these games!

FEATURES:

- Check the definition of an English word (free)

- Check a word, and see whether it can be used in a game (available option).

- Select a few spots on the board, enter the letters that you have, and get suggested words with their minimum score values (option).

- Enter the letters from a specific row or column on the board, along with the letters that you have, and find out exactly how many points you might be able to score (option).

WHAT IT ISN'T:

Don't confuse this application with the game SCRABBLE® or Words With Friends. We're here to help you improve your skill at playing the game, not to compete with it!

Please remember that this is not an approved authority for SCRABBLE® Tournament play in the USA or other places where the approved word list is under copyright.
