Learn ABC Phonics is an easy to use app that will teach your kid (2-4) US phonics by tracing the letters. The ability to recognize letter sounds plays a key role in the process of learning to read.

STILL WONDERING WHY US?
*** spend quality time with your kids while learning through fun!
*** the app is specifically designed so as to suit the needs of its target users: 2- to 4-year-olds.
*** we spent hours on tests to ensure that our app is fun to use for both children and their parents
*** our app is safe: NO ADS, NO IN-APP PURCHASES, all external links are safely locked away in the “For Parents” section protected with random swipe gestures.

Our tests showed that 2-year-olds prefer connecting dots to drawing lines. This is why our letter-tracing is in fact the dot-to-dot system. Children that young may still have trouble with deciding, where to start touching the screen - in our app, they only have to swipe through the points to connect them, regardless of where the movement began. The dots will connect as soon as your child drags the line near them, he or she does not have to be exact.

Please, bear in mind though that the letter sounds are more significant that the letter shapes. The ability to recognize letter sounds plays a key role in the process of learning to read. This is why we recommend this app for kids learning to read using Phonemic Awareness method.

This app is an extra part of the educational series Read With Pen designed to help you teach your toddler to read. Read more about the series at: http://ReadWithPen.com/

PARENTS ARE IMPORTANT
We did our best to ensure that children can play the app on their own. However, we encourage you to play together with your toddler to facilitate the learning process. With your active assistance, your child will learn faster. E.g. you can monitor your toddler’s progress and choose those letters which at the time form the biggest challenge for your toddler. We are sure you will be equally excited once you green all the letters together!

HOW TO PLAY
Tap the letter you want to learn - you may begin with your child’s initials or with the most characteristic letters like x, w, s or i, the choice is up to you. Our talented voice actor will read the letter name and the sound the letter makes. A white hand will show you where to go and a system of hints will assist you along the way. The sound which the letter makes will be repeated during the tracing process to help you associate the sound with the shape. The division of letters into parts mimics the way you move your pen to write the letter.
You will notice that the letters you visited are no longer white on the menu screen. As you practice, the letters will be changing to green. The more repeats, the greener the letter!

THE SCIENCE BEHIND PEN NOCHIO
Our series of apps is rooted in scientifically proved methods of teaching kids to read - Phonemic Awareness (PA) based systems. The Report of the National Reading Panel conducted by the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD) that carefully analyzed 1,962 citations on relevant studies states that:

‘Teaching children to manipulate phonemes in words was highly effective under a variety of teaching conditions with a variety of learners across a range of grade and age levels and that teaching phonemic awareness to children significantly improves their reading more than instruction that lacks any attention to Phonemic Awareness.’

Vast majority of brain functions develop during first 6 years of life. Although the chances to develop most of the cognitive abilities are not lost after that time, the ‘earlier is better than later’ principle definitely applies here.

What's New in Version 1.2

We are all ears to our users. We have collected tens of feedbacks but this time we have provided just minor bug fixes.
