Description

Write to the Core is designed to help beginning writers use technology to communicate in writing. Users are able to express their thoughts with the help of partially pre-written sentences called sentence frames. The sentence frames guide students through the steps of writing a paragraph so they can experience early success in formulating their thoughts within a proper writing structure. Although this is designed for 1st grade students, beginning English writers of any age can benefit from the guidance provided by the pre-established writing structure.

Teachers can use the customize feature in this app to pre-write sentence frames based on writing prompts aligned with class curriculum. For instance, a teacher may better direct students to write about paragraphs on animals found in Costa Rica, their response to the book "A Tiny Seed", or the 5 senses.

Kids can email and print their final work. Work can also be saved to Dropbox for editing later in a text editor. Help kids learn the essentials of writing and gain confidence by using this teacher-designed app!
