Description

Dr. Amy Bishop is accused of shooting six colleagues in a biology faculty meeting at the University of Alabama in Huntsville. The crime happened February 12, 2010. Three people died and three survived, two with serious injuries. The shooting happened shortly after Bishop was denied tenure.

The Harvard-trained neuroscientist says she doesn’t remember the crime, and has pleaded not guilty by reason of mental disease. Her trial is taking place in the Madison County Courthouse before Judge Alan Mann.

Bishop faces the death penalty if convicted.
