Take the information of a guidebook and map set for the Pacific Crest Trail in a simple and easy to use app for your iPhone or iPod Touch. Guthook's Guide to the Pacific Crest Trail is a tool that no hiker on the Pacific Crest (day hiker or thru-hiker) should be without.

The app shows your location on a map of the PCT, along with the trail itself, and hundreds of waypoints. If you're searching for a particular location, simply search the list of waypoints by trail section, by popular locations, or by name. Don't want to use your Internet connection or GPS? No problem. Hundreds of waypoints have attached photos, so you can get a sense of where you are by matching up the app's photos with what you see on the trail.

The Central California Section covers the 528 miles of the Pacific Crest Trail from Tehachapi Pass to Echo Lake. In this section is the section of the PCT through the Sierra Nevada mountain range, including the highest point on the Pacific Crest Trail at Forester Pass. Common resupply locations at Vermilion Valley Resort, Muir Trail Ranch, and Red's Meadow Resort are included, as well as over 1000 other waypoints. The snowy trail in the Sierra can be hard to find sometimes, so Guthook's Guide to the PCT in Central California is an invaluable tool for hikers.
