Description

Ever since iOS8 came out people have been sending me these emoji icons as an alternative to clear and unambiguous communication. This app is a simple (and mostly serious) reference tool to help you decode what the emoji sender is trying to say.

Designed to work with the default iOS keyboard you simply tap on an emoji icon and see its official name, and where that is not clear enough an explanation is given of what the emoji might actually mean.

Alternatively, if you are receive an emoji you want to look up simply copy it and open this app.

There is a mixture of seriousness and humour included just to keep things interesting.
