For the iPad we’ve also got the Healthy Recipes and Quick iPad apps and the BBC Good Food magazine iPad app.*

-----------------------------------------

Chocolatey, lemony, fruity, gooey… it's time to get elbow-deep in a BBC Good Food cake mix!

There are over 170 cakes and bakes in our app, from sumptuous celebration cakes, to gluten-free cakes for those with special dietary needs. You'll also find super-simple 'stir-it-up' cakes - that are easy enough for even the most nervous baker.

As ever, all our recipes are triple-tested by the Good Food cookery team, to help make sure they work first time for you.

Novice bakers will find our advice on common baking problems reassuring. There are plenty of top tips to help you get the perfect bake, as well as answers to some frequently asked questions, such as, why didn't my cake rise?

As with all our apps, each recipe includes nutritional information on kcals, protein, carbs, fat, saturated fat, fibre, sugar and salt per serving.

You can switch between metric and imperial measurements on all recipes, depending on your location and preference.

Save recipes to favourites for easy access, add ingredients to a shopping list by aisle, and send recipes to friends, too. Search by type, eg celebration, special diet, or by ingredient.

Visit us at bbcgoodfood.com for over 8300 more recipes, all triple-tested by the BBC Good Food cookery team. Remember to take a look at our other apps, including Quick, Healthy and Festive for iPhone and iPod touch. We also have Healthy Recipes and Quick Recipes apps for the iPad.

This app is produced by BBC Worldwide, the commercial arm of the BBC. BBC Worldwide is self-funded and returns profits to the BBC to be reinvested in programmes and services to help keep the UK licence fee as low as possible. For those who wonder why our apps aren’t free, BBC Worldwide has the responsibility of channelling funds back to the BBC, so the BBC can continue to create amazing content.

Any feedback on the app is welcome...
