How To Use This App

The app has been designed and arranged in a way to help you memorize the structure and layout of the book as well as the content of each ḥadīth in both Arabic and English using two views, the grid view and the list view. In the grid view, the forty-two aḥādīth have been arranged in a grid of 5 rows and 10 columns. You can navigate by swiping across or in the up and down directions. When you are viewing the title page for each ḥadīth you will see the title, the narrator and the source of the ḥadīth. To read and listen to the ḥadīth click on the image that is displayed. There is also a list view which allows an alternative way to navigate.

Audio Readings

There are many melodious audio readings of al-Nawawī's Forty Ḥadīth, but in reality they are not really helpful and conducive in actual memorization and learning. Hence, we have chosen a plain, clear, straightforward reading of the text of this book to aid the memorization process since it allows you to actually focus on the text, rather than be preoccupied in the emotional aspects of a melodious reading.
