Our House teaches 28 words about life at home in five groups (in the kitchen, at the table, family room, bathroom, bedroom).

This suite of student-friendly apps, while primarily designed for French Immersion students, is also well suited to all students of French as a Second Language. and French as a First Language. Unique in our apps is our commitment to supporting parents by providing them with information and materials so that they can help their child learn, and even participate in the learning process. We understand that students enter French Immersion at different grade levels, and we have created our apps to accommodate this reality. Apps are supported by free resources available on our web site http://frenchimmersionresource.ca.
In all activites in each app, students will see a graphic, read the French word, and hear the word spoken by an accomplished teacher of French. Students are invited to participate in four activities: "Let's learn" (words are repeated with ample time for the student to practice saying them); "Let's practice" (a drag and drop activity matching printed words with pictures); "Let's play" (a game in which students match graphics and sound); and "Quiz" (students must choose the correct picture for a written and spoken word). Even young students who do not yet read will be able to use all activities because the sound is always attached to graphics and word boxes.
