Nearby Map for Ingress is the Intel Map app to find portals nearby.

When you launch the app it will load the surrounding area using your current location as the center.
There is no wasted loading or other operations necessary, so you can find the surrounding Portals quickly.

You can select from five zoom levels to be used when the app is launched.
After checking the map, use the button in the lower right to smoothly transition to the Ingress App.
