Description

Inspired by a 7th grade teacher, this App augments your language arts curriculum. Students can explore the building blocks of vocabulary and deepen their foundational skills for studying literature and informational texts.  The content is influenced by both the Common Core Standards and Texas' ELAR standards for middle school students. 

Middle School English challenges students through interactive play on their iPads.  It makes it easy to email you or a parent directly from the App with an image of their work.  In playful, interactive sessions, with two levels of difficulty, students will be challenged to practice and learn:

-- core vocabulary
-- terms used in literary analysis
-- essential prefixes, suffixes and roots
-- spelling
-- identifying parts of speech
-- identifying central ideas in a text
--  the meanings of words and phrases in context including figurative, connotative, and technical meanings
--  clear and coherent writing appropriate to task, purpose, and audience
