Teacher Tools HD is one of the first apps made by teachers for teachers which you can use every day, across the whole curriculum. It’s not subject specific. We would encourage you to use it throughout each day to save you and your students teaching time.

Teacher Tools HD features two tools:
A class timer with built in name selector
A multi-functional name shuffler

NOTE: The app will be most effective when displayed on a whiteboard or TV. The large graphics will motivate and engage children

Timer
You’ll find hundreds of timers on the app store, but we tried to make this one a little bit different and more suited to teachers and educators. The app allows you to enter and save the names of your students (up to 35). When the timer runs out, one of the names is selected at random. You can also use the manual feature to choose a new name.

As teachers we try to use Assessment for Learning strategies. This app will support you in:
*Preventing those children who always answer first from doing so and boosting other children's confidence
*Selecting a child to feedback to the class, during or after a session
*Differentiating for children who need thinking time

Or obviously use it as a regular timer for setting deadlines for your children to work within, and many other activities that need a timer.

Name shuffler
This tool allows you to use that same list of names in a shuffler. By pressing the shuffle button the app will sort the names into 2s, 3s, or 4s. You can also randomly select a student’s name from each shuffled row of names.
This tool has been created to save teachers and educators time in the classroom. Sorting children into groups can often take up time that could be used for learning. By using the name shuffler students can be sorted in seconds.
Then when the teacher wants feedback they can use the name selector at the end of each row to choose a name from each group to deliver that feedback.
