This application provides information about the PopcornFX plugin for Unity & a realtime showcase.
In the benchmarks you'll find 3 different effects running in the same Unity scene, with the ability to switch between the PopcornFX version and its Shuriken counterpart.

A detailed FPS graph indicates in real-time the CPU and GPU usages. You can choose the number of emitters from 25 (5x5 grid) to 900 (30x30 grid) (Warning: on very low profile devices, you may experience some huge application hangs).
In most cases, with PopcornFX you should notice a performance gain by a factor from 1.5 to 5 at least, heavily depending on your device specifications, of course.

Please also note that this showcase has been made with standard Shuriken assets and basic PopcornFX effects. Its purpose is only to demonstrate the potential advantage of PopcornFX but it does not guarantee that it will fit your needs.
