The Toronto Caribbean Carnival is an exciting three-week cultural explosion of Caribbean music, cuisine, and revelry as well as visual and performing arts. It is a major international event and the largest cultural festival of its kind in North America. As Carnival is an international cultural phenomenon, the great metropolis of Toronto and its environs come alive as the city explodes with the pulsating rhythms and melodies of Calypso, Soca, Reggae, Chutney, Steel Pan and Brass Bands. This is a family festival with events for everyone starting with the:
• Junior Carnival Parade for kids and teenagers, taking place at Neilson Park, Scarborough
• Carnival City Party
• OCPA Kaiso 365 Show at the Latvian Canadian Culture Center
• King & Queen Showcase highlighting the talents of amazing designers in the Allan Lamport Stadium which becomes an outdoor theatre and performance space
• Pan Alive performances of steelband pannists also in the Allan Lamport Stadium
• Grand Parade of the Masquerade Bands and Steelbands in Exhibition Place, Lakeshore Boulevard, and Marilyn Bell Park
• Carnival in the City at Fort York Historic
• Carnival Village in Regent Park
