NEXT METRO is a simple and elegant offline Timetable app for the Tyne and Wear Nexus Metro system. It is aimed at people who take regular journeys and like to know when their next timetabled Metro is due.

The whole Metro timetable is stored in the App so no internet access is required for the App to have full functionality.

The app includes the full timetable of any of the 60 stations in the Metro System.
See the exact location of the stations on a map, how far away you are and also get walking directions all within the App. Just tap the map in the Timetable view.

Navigate to the timetable view from your current journey or from the list of stations for quick access.

Your journeys are synced to the Apple Watch in order to give you immediate access to Metro times, through the App, a Glance or Complication.

If you allow background location access to the app, it will update the journeys on your Watch by distance to each Metro station as well as the Today Extension on your iPhone or iPad.

Real-time metro information IS NOT currently available so the App can’t and won't update due to unforeseen delays or issues on the Metro System. We are working with Nexus to make this information available.
