What is a trigraph? A trigraph is a single sound represented by three letters. Some examples of these are: “str” in string, “sch” in school, “sph” in sphere, and “spl” in splash.

This game is a great way for your child to identify images of words that begin with a digraph or trigraph. It will show your child either 12 (practice mode) or 24 (play mode) images and ask them to find the all the images that begin with a certain digraph or trigraph.

They can play in two modes:

Practice Mode - This mode is great for a child just starting to learn about digraphs and trigraphs. If they pick the wrong image the game gives them a hint. For more assistance, they can hit the help button to have game will say the name and show the spelling of the incorrect images.

Play Mode - This mode challenges your child by earning points for each correct answer. Each level they complete gives them less time to find the images. If they run out of time they have to start the level over. Finish all five levels to win!
