The Date

There are special days in the life of every one of us. Meaningless for others, they are our personal landmarks. Our birthday. Our first date. The days our children are born.

There are days of universal joy and days of sweeping grief. And there are also days which we simply live in a rut, falling into the fussy pattern of everyday chores. And these days are important, too, because if they come, it means we are still around.

Neither of these days need further say. Nor do they require a pictorial. Let it just be them.
