Description

TopTile is a game having a "Casino" feel which uses features similar to those found in Poker, Yahtzee, Bridge and other strategic type games. Each game takes about 2 minutes to complete and is generally played within a timed contest. Play is fast, furious, and filled with wild swings in scores to add to the overall excitement. The winner is the player having the highest score at the end of the contest.

TopTile is played in a format where up to 10 players compete against each other but are totally independent from one another. No taking turns or waiting for someone to move pieces. When 10 players have filled a contest, immediately a new contest is ready to be played by the next 10 players to play as little or as much as time allows.

Objective of TopTile:
================
Each game consist of 5 rounds, where the goal is to obtain the highest score within each of these rounds to build a final score.

There is considerable rank changing that takes place during a contest. These dynamic score changes occur as a result of TopTile's scoring features that rarely are found in other games.

1. Match Tile:
Every Round in a game has a non-playing Match Tile which is randomly selected. The Match Tile does not change while the Round is in progress. Each Match Tile has one of 6 colors and a number value. Basically, dice with colors The purpose of the Match Tile is as follows:

a). To provide bonus points over and above the face value of the tile and increase the diversity of scores between players. Color matching gives 10 bonus points, Number matching gives 20 bonus points.

b). Match Tiles are the primary means for protecting scores from being "Bumped" by another player's higher score or strategic play. Scores that are "Bumped" are removed from the player's total score.

2. High Round Score Rules:
Though the Match Tile protects most Top Tile Scores, it also causes great upheaval. Every score which is the highest in a round is no longer protected, regardless if it had been protected before becoming the High Round Score. All High Round Scores can be "Bumped" by a new High Score. The Bumped score significantly reduces the player's total game score.

3. Protected Scores
Protected Score cannot be Bumped / removed unless the score should become a High Round Score. There are 3 types of Protected Scores which give bonus points.

- Play tile with same number and color as the Match Tile.
- Play tiles - one with same color & another with the same number as the Match Tile
- Play 3 or more tiles - all with the same color as the Match Tile

4. Bumped Scores
A Bumped Score will appear on the play screen with a small X above the Round that was bumped. On the Score Card, the Bumped Score is shown with a white X over the score. All Bumped Scores, even if shown with a X over it, add zero points to the total scoring but remain in case a situation arises which makes the score an unprotected High Round Score.

5. SuperScores
A SuperScore is when all 5 Play Tiles form a specific array of the numbers or colors in a Round. All SuperScores receive 250 bonus points in addition to the Tile Value and any number or color bonus points. There are 4 SuperScore arrangements.

- Color SuperScore when all Tiles have the same color.
- Number SuperScore when all Tiles have the same number.
- Full House SuperScore when 2 Tiles have the same number and 3 Tiles the same but a different number.
- A Run / Straight where all five Tiles have numbers in sequence. examples 1-2-3-4-5 or 2-3-4-5-6

Nothing is more rewarding than "bumping " (Wiping Out) a competitor's High Round Score and seeing their contest score go down. What other game allows one player to reduce another player's score? Come on in and see how much fun it can be.
