Description

Designed for the blind or visually impaired, this sound-matching game proves to be fun and challenging for all, including sighted players. The game puts listening and memory skills to the test, and while navigating the screen to locate, memorize and pair the matching sounds, you will also build a basic understanding of how a digital grid is built up, from rows and columns.
Ballyland Sound Memory requires the use of a small number of basic finger gestures for VoiceOver (the built-in screen reader on your iOS device): Finger drag, single finger double tap, and single finger flick left/right and up/down. If necessary, children can develop these foundation gesture skills by way of the acclaimed ‘Ballyland Magic’ iPad game app, from the same developers.

“A wonderful combination of introducing “grids” and a fun memory game. Perfect for our young kids!”
Diane Brauner, teacher of the visually impaired (TVI), instructor in orientation and mobility (O&M), iPad accessibility trainer, and manager Perkins Paths to Technology website
