Locast is a weather app capable of delivering the most accurate real time weather data from all around the globe! Locast uses METAR weather reports to analyze weather and predict future weather phenomena. It features real time weather tracking and very accurate forecasts that can extend for few days!

First, What is METAR?
METAR is a format for reporting weather information. A METAR weather report is predominantly used by pilots in fulfillment of a part of a pre-flight weather briefing, and by meteorologists, who use aggregated METAR information to assist in weather forecasting.
Raw METAR is the most common format in the world for the transmission of observational weather data. It is highly standardized through the International Civil Aviation Organization(ICAO), which allows it to be understood throughout most of the world.

Why is METAR so accurate?
Well, Pilots need accurate weather in formation in order to asses the meteorological condition at a specific plane in real time, so METAR is always updated whenever new weather phenomena happens!

How does Locast do it?
Locast takes in User Defined stations and gets METAR information from these stations, it then decodes this data and gives out the current weather situation. It also predicts future weather phenomena for up to 3 days! You can also find the nearest station to you by just enabling Location Services, Locast does the rest of the job for you!
