You're using Google Maps to navigate to the bar where you are supposed to meet up with friends. It's just another 10 minute walk. You just want to send a message to inform them that you're late, and then it happens. Your phone goes dead. You start feeling uncomfortable. Battery anxiety we call it.

With a growing group of partners and users we are tackling this problem. How? We designed Batterybox: A network of loading stations in a growing number of cities throughout the Netherlands from which you can rent a powerbank just by using an intuitive app on your phone. Is your phone fully charged again? Then feel free to return it to a Batterybox location of your choice. It's as simple as that!

Sounds unreal? It's not! Powerbank rental is already a worldwide success. You can rent powerbanks everywhere. From bars, restaurants, gyms, schools, hospitals and all sorts of other locations. And Everybody is using them.

So what goes for the rest of the world, goes for the Netherlands too. At the moment you'll find us at approximately 200 locations in Rotterdam, Amsterdam, Tilburg, Utrecht and The Hague. But we want more: a complete Batterybox network nationwide. And we want to build it with you!
