HoYoverse reveals more details for Version 4.6 of Genshin Impact

HoYoverse has announced some extra information about its upcoming Version 4.6 update to the massive RPG Genshin Impact. Two Worlds Aflame, the Crimson Night Fades will launch on April 24th, and brings a vast new area, a fun minigame, and the arrival of a deadly new friend, or maybe foe. Meeting the Forth of the Fatuai Harbingers, also known as the Knave, on the battlefield as a Weekly Boss will be a huge challenge. She can impose a Blood-Debt Directive on characters, seeing them take more damage, and being unable to heal. Pay this debt, however, and your Charged Attack will be boosted. Luckily for those who fall for Arlecchino, you can recruit her to your side as a five-star Pyro polearm w…

Konami legend comes to the hectic world of Vampire Survivors in Operation Guns

Vampire Survivors has long styled itself as a “be the bullet hell” type of game, so obviously, it needs a lot more guns. Enter Contra, Konomis’ iconic run-and-gun series, and a new collaboration with a host of new guns to play with characters to use, and general mayhem to unleash in Vampire Survivors: Operation Guns. Starting with characters, one of Contras’ most iconic heroes makes its way over, with series protagonist Bill Rizer being delightful dubbed just a guy with a gun. Alongside good old Bill is recon robot Probotector, super-beast-robo-soldier Brad Fang, and bionoid Lucia, and a total of 11 heroes all ready and willing to rain hell on any and all monsters.…

But Godzilla x Kong: Titan Chasers has a different answer. Instead, players will go toe to toe with giant foes, for the ultimate adrenaline rush. The eponymous Titan Chasers are a group of elite explorers, mercenaries, and thrill seekers who, voluntarily, head to the shores of Siren Isles, a mysterious new exosystem made by giant monstrosities. Zombiekind has never been more under threat as MY.GAMES announce over 70 million downloads of base-builder Left To Survive

Peanut butter and jelly, ham and cheese, Morecambe and Wise - there are some things that will always go together, and for gaming a prominent example is shooters and zombies. As you might expect from the explanation, Left To Survive pits you in the midst of the ever-popular zombie apocalypse world. Hunter X Hunter returns to Puzzle & Dragons with eight dungeons of fun and rewards

Puzzle & Dragons is in crisis as some of the most formidable foes in the Hunter X Hunter series have returned to wreak havoc, and only you can stop them. Team up with the Hunter Association to defeat the Phantom Troupe and the Chimera Ants across eight dungeons. Hunter X Hunter first debuted as a Manga back in 1998 and is still considered ongoing to this day, mostly due to the myriad of hiatuses it has entered. It follows the story of Gon Freecss, who discovers his long-lost father is a Hunter, who undertakes jobs such as exterminating bad guys or hunting for legendary treasure. Gon sets off to also become a Hunter, to follow in his father's footsteps, but also probably because that&rsq…

Identity V goes from horror to just plain creepy with the return of Juni Ito Collection Crossover

Identity V has never been what one would call upbeat, being that it's a survival game where you try to stomp four players as a bad guy, but it's set to get a whole lot more unsettling. Thanks to the return of the Junji Ito Collection Crossover, the horror has become much more creepy. Junji Ito is one of Japan's more iconic horror artists, and if you look at the vast majority of his works it's plain to see why. I’m not an art critic, but there is something about them that causes some primal discomfort, perfect for Identity V. There are three costumes to collect, and weirdly, the one Survivor skin is the creepiest. Lucky Guy can get the Souichi A Costume, modelled after possibly Itos&r…

HoYoVerse announces the arrival of the Astra Carnival to Genshin Impact

It has been just over one year since Hoyoverse debuted their trading card game, Genius Invocation, into Genshin Impact, and the developers have really pushed it as its own thing. To their credit, it has taken off, so much so that we are now welcoming the Astra Carnival: The Prince Cup. Astra Carnival is a very Genshin name for something, but what the Prince Cup is in plain terms is a big card game tournament for players of Genius Invocation. Not only can you test your skills and have fun, but each region will have a prize pool of 60,000 USD, just enough to get you one character from the current banners. To account for the large influx of Genshin Players expected to join the Prince Cup will…

Black Desert Mobile aims to welcome back lapsed players by aggressively launching rewards and benefits at them

Let me paint a familiar picture; you pick up a game, love it for a while, then general life responsibilities or maybe another title pulls you away, and your love falls to the wayside. It's a sad scene, but Pearl Abyss is looking to recapture the wayward wanderers from its MMORPG Black Desert Mobile with the Black Pearl Return Campaign. For the whole month of April, until the 30th, lapsed Adventurers can start a fresh character on the new Oasis server and benefit from a 100% return in Black Pearls. If you don't know what that means, you will get the equivalent of Black Pearls to the amount paid to date, a nice financial upside. Not only this, but you can also create a new character that has…

TEPPEN goes back to the classroom as Rival Schools enters the battlefield

When it came to the original PlayStation, I had two favourite fighting games; the demo disc that had Destrega on it, and Rival Schools, the latter of which is embracing its Capcom roots and joining TEPPEN, the card game that encapsulates the Capcomverse. It’s time for card games to return to their ancestral home; the school playground. Titled Schoolyard Royale, this new tale takes place at Nekketsu High, ostensibly ruled by the laid-back Darkstalkers’ Sasquash. Peek under the cover though, and you will see a single student known as the Banco Boss actually runs things, a title up for grabs since Daigo Kazama graduated. To decide the next leader, the rest of the students participa…

Stumble Guys takes on Dungeon Master duties with massive new Dungeons and Dragons collaboration

It makes me incredibly pleased to see Dungeons and Dragons getting more and more screentime with the recent movie and of course Baldur Gate 3. Now Stumble Guys is embracing the tabletop legends with quite the beefy collaboration. To honour D&Ds 50th anniversary Stumble Guys has implemented two massive new courses crammed with lava, traps, Kobolds, Beholders, and of course, the titular Dragons, all the while being harassed by the encroaching prismatic wall. Do not abandon hope through heroes, as you can tackle these challenges as one of four D&D classic classes. Each of these comes equipped with their own special skills. The Warrior keeps their beloved meathead attitude, swinging an…

The 2024 PMGO Brazil tournament heats up as the Qualifiers draw to a close

I am, and forever shall be, in support of developers opening up tournaments to the public so anyone can cash in their skills and earn some extra cash, and now PUBG is advancing their Brazil Open as the top 32 teams are locked in and ready to duke it out. Since March, teams across the world have been battling online in the PMGO Open Qualifier to book their place in the tournament proper to get their hands on a piece of the $500,000.00 prize pot, and now we have landed at the big time. The last hurdle to the Prelims begins this weekend with the close of the Offline Qualifier. The qualifying team will be split down into two sets, Group A and Group B, with any maths wizz being able to confirm…

Super Impact announces pre-registration for upcoming runner Sidestep Storm

Endless Runners are all but a staple on mobile, obviously, just look at Subway Surfers. We all have our favourites, I, for one, was partial to the Adventure Time one before it shuttered, and we are soon to receive another choice as Super Impact announces a release date for Sidestep Storm. As you might expect from the title, Sidestep Storm plops you right in the middle of an urban environment right in the middle of some pretty windy weather, and what better to do during this phenomenon than go for a good run? Of course, with big wind comes a cavalcade of debris to avoid. A neverending stream of tumbling automotives will be hurtling towards you at breakneck speeds, with a plethora of speedbu…

Bytten Studio announces massive plans to bring hit RPG Cassette Beasts to iOS and Android

I am sure a lot of people will agree when I say that Pokemon lost a lot of its allure after the move to Switch. It’s hard to place your finger on, but they aren’t dominating the genre anymore. One of the biggest contenders for the creature collector throne was Bytten Studio’s Cassette Beast, and they are making some big moves. Cassette Beasts first launched in April 2023 and followed a hero who fell into a world called New Wirral, which is beset by all manner of monsters. These can only be tackled using a cassette player to turn into said beasties, all the while recording more to add to your collection. All this to the backdrop of captivating characters and an absolutely w…

Warframe visits PAX East and drops a bunch of intriguing morsels for fans

If you managed to miss it, PAX East took place this weekend with a great lineup of developers dishing the dirt on upcoming games and whatnot, but mobile players had another game to keep an eye on thanks to Warframe recently landing on the App Store. And this year, Digital Extremes dropped quite a few delicious pieces of information. Our first content sneak peek is for the newest upcoming update, entitled Jade Shadows, complete with a view of presumably the next Warframe to release. What their skills will be, or how they will wield that cool-looking weapon, is unknown, but we do know there will be a single-player Quest related to it, featuring the Stalker, one of Warframes most mysterious ch…
