Very useful
App was updated recently and now it’s even better because with the student schedule. No more calls to the schools. I can let the school know when my child is going to be out or late. It’s really helpful to see the full calendar and to know the school can see it too Love this new feature!
Trash and then some
This app is complete trash. Who wants someone monitoring where you are at all times? Not me. Privacy is a huge issue right now and this app
Claims it only alerts the school when you are close and that it doesn’t save your location info. Sound familiar? Same song and dance that other apps have claimed and then been fined for. Hate the app, hate the fact that my son’s school wants to use this. Note: if you do not turn on location services, app doesn’t work. I can’t have location services on because of my job position, so more reasons why this app is trash. Would give negative stars if possible.
FetchKids responded to my review, however it wholly failed to address the privacy issue. It does track your location (GPS is a tracking tool to know your exact location in order to inform the school how far out you are), and it failed to respond to the issue of location services being turned off. After the response, I would rate this app as a negative 5 (-5).

Thank you for your feedback. Just to clarify, FetchKids does not know where you are at all times. FetchKids sends only your arrival time to the school while a pickup is in progress and that is calculated using GPS, as there is no other way to calculate your arrival time accurately. Arrival time info is transmitted in real time and after the pickup is finished no location information is collected or saved. The goal is to provide the school with advance notice so your child is ready when you arrive, increasing efficiency and safety, and reducing your wait time at the school. The privacy and security of all families using FetchKids is of utmost importance to us. My kids attend an after school program that uses this app and they’re always ready to pick up when I arrive, even at odd times. It’s saved me a lot of time and works really well
