Some researchers and enthusiasts report that playing White or Pink or Red noise in the background helps to stay focused in noisy areas, such as open office spaces. There is also evidence that such background sound helps to fall asleep faster or soothe a crying baby. We have developed a simple application for this.

Easy to use, straightforward
A straightforward app that does what it says on the label: It makes of noise in a few different flavors of your choice: Red noise (aka brown) is great for relaxing and focusing. Pink and white are useful for masking specific types of noises or testing speakers.
Some feedback: The volume seems to fall off much steeper than most volume controls (50% to 100% I think is normally increase of 3dB-10dB, it jumps 30dB, yikes!), it would be nice if there were an exact dB level shown. And the sleep mode UI could be improved a bit, to be more consistent with similar timers, and allow durations more than half an hour. Adjusting the time turns off the noise, but it should just reset the timer.
