Star Wars: Assault Team Review

We don't mind admitting that we were excited as we started playing the free-to-play Star Wars: Team Assault. It wasn't the Star Wars fanfare that set our nostalgia glands tingling. That lost its potency long ago. Nope, it was the scenario that got our sabres flaring. Starting just after the original film, you take control of Han Solo as he attempts to infiltrate the Empire. With Han, Chewie, and R2-D2 in your squad, you'd be forgive for thinking the story might evolve into something s…

Arcade racer Crazy Taxi: City Rush has been soft-launched in Canada

Sega's mobile spin-off of the Crazy Taxi series, Crazy Taxi: City Rush, has just been soft launched in Canada. If, like us, the sound of the sound of The Offspring's 'All I Want' still makes you want to jump over KFC in a bright yellow taxi, then you might be feeling pretty stoked about now. Crazy Taxi: City Rush features a whole new city to speed around as you pick up passengers and deliver them to their destination. Successfully completing missions and challenges will help you earn more cash, enabling you to customise your cab, and open up more areas of the city to gain access to bigger fares. This plays into the game's free-to-play elements, with you able to speed…

Fairway Solitaire Blast Review

Fairway Solitaire Blast Review

The original Fairway Solitaire's blend of golf and cards was superb. Its simple take on solitaire was fun and immediate, while the golf elements encouraged you to minimise moves to come in under par. Fairway Solitaire Blast retains the original's slick solitaire gameplay. Once again, your enjoyment of this will be dependent on your appreciation of solitaire. However, Blast’s streamlined gameplay kept us entertained as we attempted to clear each board as efficiently as possi…

Tiny Thief gets magical new Bewitched chapter in latest update

Cutesy point-and-click adventure game Tiny Thief has just received an update which gives you access to a brand new chapter. Titled Bewitched, Tiny Thief's new level sees the King kidnapped by the Wicked Witch. Taking control of the pint-sized pilferer, it is your task to rescue him from her evil clutches. You can only fight fire with fire, however, so this episode has the little tea-leaf turning to the dark arts in order to fight off the witch’s spells. We really enjoyed Tiny Thief’s mix of platform and adventure elements. Its charming art style and clever puzzles earned it a strong recommendation, despite its relatively ease and brevity of the six original adventur…

Loco Motors Review

Loco Motors Review

Loco Motors is a car-construction puzzle game that fully embraces the wackiness of its own premise. The aim is to build cars to complete races and challenges, with the game putting very few limits one what you can construct. This proves as much as a curse as it is a blessin,g as, while you struggle with the game’s various physics based puzzles, you constantly feel like you might be missing a more elegant solution. Each map has six challenges, and successfully solving each of the…
