To celebrate the timely death of the working week, here's a round-up of all the best review, hands-on, and feature videos we knocked-up on AppSpy over the last five days.  Monument Valley review "Monument Valley is not only an exquisite piece of craftsmanship, but a genuinely delightful adventure with more 'wow' moments than most million-dollar blockbusters." Unleash the elemental power of Mankind in The Sandbox's new Ecology Campaign update

Mother Nature simulator The Sandbox has received a new update which adds a brand new campaign featuring 20 extra levels, and a handful of new elements. The 20 new levels- which form the Ecology Campaign -  task you with solving environmental puzzles in order to protect the very planet whose elements you've been manipulating. Examples include preventing deforestation, and combatting pollution. Also included are 13 new elements to help you in your fight for world peace. Oddly enough, 'The Nuke' is one of these elements. How exactly that can be used to protect the environment remains to be seen. You'll be unlocking mana as you go, an in-game currency which is used to purchase differen…

Oddball physics-puzzler Bamba is pedalling its way onto the App Store this week

It's safe to say that you won't have seen a mobile title like Bamba before. Bamba is a one-touch physicals puzzler starring a unicycle performer. With a tap of the screen, you can prompt the unicycler to travel backwards or forwards. Starting simple, the first level of the game involves remaining balanced on a platform for a set time without falling off. The difficulty mounts when you also have to avoid a moving hula hoop or a number of bouncing balls, all the while trying to avoid toppling off your mono-wheeled vehicle. You'll find 25 of these levels to conquer when the Bamba is released on the App Store this Friday.…

Glowforth will release their debut title Last Inua on the App Store in a couple of weeks. Last Inua is a platform adventure in which you take control of an Inuit father and son duo - Ataataq and Hiko respectively - who are on a quest to save the world. You see, their world of the mythical North is under attack by the ancient demon Tonrar. And, as it transpires, Hiko, a boy gifted with supernatural powers, may be the only one who can save it. These abilities allow Hiko to turn into a ball of light to follow a set path through the air. He can also create a path of light which allows him and his father to easily navigate difficult, or non-existant, terrain. It is up to Ataataq, then, to p…

Inventive block puzzler Shapist reduced to 69p / 99c on iPad

Sliding block-puzzler Shapist has just been reduced to 69p / 99c (down from £1.99 / $2.99) on iPad. Shapist at first appears no different to its block-manipulating genre cousins. It involves trying to clear a space in the shape that will allow you to move to the next level. There is no tutorial and no explanation as to how to proceed. It's pure intuitive trial and error from the get go. However, as you make your way through the game, you'll eventually come across mechanics brand new to the genre. Certain blocks can be shrunk or stretched to fit in a variety of different spaces. Others don't appear to want to move from their initial position, pinging right back as soon as you…

First Strike is an RTS at heart. It features the same base-building, territory expansion and upgrade researching typical of the genre. The game sees you choosing from a large cast of heroes and performing classic JRPG tasks such as fighting monsters, exploring towns and completing a number of quests in a variety of regions. You can download Block Legend from the App Store right now for a mere £1.49 / $1.99. Bear in mind the game contains no IAPs, so that one-off purchase is all yo…
