The 5 best iPad and iPhone games this week - 18th November

By , on November 18, 2016

Another week has passed us by, like so much time, moving in one direction, and then measured by our human hands into fathomable chunks. Time. Time. Tiiiime.

Wow. So yeah it’s time to have a look at what I think are the best games that came out on iOS this week. You might disagree, but that means I disagree with you too. In the end, who’s the right one?

That’d be me, because I can get into the CMS of the website and delete your comments. Bosh. Here’s a list. See you next week kittens.

Go Rally

A rally game. Oh wow, that’s novel. Actually it’s got some pretty cool ideas in it, including a track creation tool that pretty much lets you draw your own dirty places to race.

It looks good, it plays well, and if you buy it on iOS you’ll be able to play it on your Apple TV as well. You know, if you’re that one person that has an Apple TV.

Replica

An intriguing adventure game told through a phone interface. A super cool-looking pixelated phone interface that sits on your phone.

There are messages to read, settings to tweak, and plenty more to do as you try and figure out whether a terrorist plot is real, or something much darker.

Football Manager Mobile 2017

It’s FM, but squished down so that it fits in your pocket. Don’t get it confused with FM Touch though, because that’s a different game. Well, sort of.

Anyway, this is a more pared back version of the managing experience. But FM pared back is usually far more impressive than any other management sim when it’s not pared back.

Super Cat Tales

A super cute retro-looking platforming adventure that is full of cats. Well, nearly full of cats. There are like six cats, which is probably more cats than you have.

Jump and frolic through a series of levels that look like they could have been inspired by pretty much any platformer from the early ‘90s. What’s not to like about that?

New Star Cricket

It’s New Star Soccer, but instead of football, it’s cricket. And as anyone in their right mind will tell you, cricket is a much better sport than football.

Seriously, it just is. Control the career of an aspiring cricketer. From playing the game to everything else. And do it with a smile on your face.
