Another week has been and gone. Did you get up to much good stuff? Or did you just sit around thinking to yourself, ah it's nearly the end of the year, there's not much point trying to start anything new now?

Guess which I did. Anyway, the end of a week means that it's time for us to have a look at the best games that came out in that said week. And all in all it's been a pretty impressive seven days for mobile gamings.

We've got some great ports, and some great new original mobile games of every sort. So maybe it it time to try something new. Maybe it's time to try something new like one of the games on the list? Go on, treat yourself.

Galaxy on Fire 3: Manticore

A big swooshy swoopy space battling game. This is, as you might be able to tell, the third in the series, but it adds some new tweaks and twists that makes it feel like the first time GoF has really fit on mobile.

Big explosions, lovely graphics, and loads and loads and loads to do. Like, seriously, there's a whole galaxy to explore and shoot to bits. So maybe go and do that, yeah?

Bully: Anniversary Edition

A welcome mobile outing for one of Rockstar's slightly forgotten classics. It might not have the grit of a Red Dead or a GTA, but it's funny, violent, and has a lot of neat tricks up its uniform's sleeve.

And the port is excellent. Great controls, sharp graphics, and all the voice acting you'd expect. If you've not played Bully before, mobile is a great way to experience it.

Jasper's Rocket

A cute and sort of cuddly endless flyer that gets more challenging the deeper you get into it. And it's got a cat in it, so that's really something to cherish. Because cats are amazing.

There are challenges to complete, bananas to collect, and a good deal of ground to avoid smashing into. It's pretty tough, it's got a look all of its own, and it does some things I've never seen before.

Dawn of Titans

The resource management genre might feel a bit stale sometimes, but this smashes it up with some impressive RTS-style battles. Getting your hands dirty never felt quite so good.

It throws in some neat new ideas as well, and mixes everything up with some pretty impressive graphics. If Clash of Clans was too simple for you, then this meatier specimen is well worth checking out.

A tough old puzzler that plays incredibly quickly. And sometimes that means it's tough to get a hold of just what's going on. But if you persevere you'll find a lot to enjoy.

Just be ready to pull your hair out, swear a lot, and throw your iOS device down in disgust. Although depending on how your week's been going, you might be ready to do that anyway.
