There’s one thing going on in Star Wars: Force Arena that’s really important to get a grasp on, and that’s what we’re going to take a look at today in this second part of our series looking into the game.

It’s the sort of thing that you can easily look past if you’re not careful, but we’re here to help you out with things like that. Basically it’s what we’re here for.

So without further ado, let’s have a look at the average energy spend of the deck you’re using and figure out if there’s any way you can do it better.

Energy

As we covered yesterday, energy is something you spend on the units that you’re using in the game. Each card has its own cost, and your energy replenishes over time. But there’s an extra stat you might be missing.

On the deck screen you’ll see that each of your decks has an average energy spend. This is how much energy it costs on average to throw one of your units out there.

Finding the right balance between the average energy cost and the strength of your units is key to succeeding. And when you get things wrong, you’ll find that you’re getting your face beaten in over and over again.

To begin with you’ll want to keep your average spend under 3.5. If you can, it’s best to keep it around 3, but there’s wiggle room because your cards aren’t going to be as malleable as they are later in the game.

Try and check your average every time that you put something new into it. You’ll find that when you’re higher than 3.5 you’ll be getting overwhelmed over and over by smaller units before you have a chance to counter.

This doesn’t mean you should ignore more expensive units, it means you need to balance them out with cheaper ones. And shift things around when you’ve upgraded units that cost less.
