Oh look it's Wednesday. Wednesday is the day when we round up the best games on sale on the App Store right now. So that is exactly what we're going to do. And we're going to do it with a smile on our faces and a song in our hearts.

There are some real crackers in the list this week, so you should probably buy all of them to further grease the wheels of the capitalist machine. I mean, them wheels aren't going to grease themselves now, are they?

As usual you can click on the emboldened name of the games below to download them from the App Store. I think that covers everything you need to know. Now go forth and consume content. It'll be great.

Tsuro - £2.99 / $2.99

A digital version of an intriguing boardgame. It's all about dragons. But there isn't any gold hoarding here. Instead you're just trying not to fly off the board. You build your dragon's path as you play, and whoever has the last dragon standing wins.

Glitchskier - 99p / 99c

A gorgeous looking shooter with a supreme retro aesthetic. It's super tough, but it's also super rewarding. Fly around a collapsing computer system and shoot everything that moves. Then die and do it all over again.

Z-Exemplar - £1.99 / $1.99

Another retro shooter, but this one's more faithful to its roots. It's got a chunky pixel aesthetic, and its run through with old fashioned blasting ideas. It also works really well on mobile, and might just take you back to your glory days.

Final Fantasy VI - £6.99 / $6.99

Some people think this is the best Final Fantasy game. They are, of course, wrong. That's Final Fantasy IX. But this is still really good. And it's had its price cut by more than half. Meaning it's the perfect time to pick it up if you haven't yet.

Evergrow - £1.99 / $1.99

A clever mix of puzzling and arcade elements. Make a cheeky square into an even bigger cheeky square. But in space. Because space is the best. I wish I was in space. Maybe I'll go play Evergrow instead.
