It's Wednesday, which means it's time to round up the best games that are currently on sale on the App Store. Look, I'm a stickler for tradition, okay? And if I don't stick to my routine, well, you don't want to know what might happen.

Anyway, there are some real diamonds going cheap this week. I had to whittle the list down to just five, and believe you me it was a pretty difficult task. I got there in the end though, because I'm a professional.

As usual you can click on the emboldened name of a game below in order to download it. Make sure you join us next week for another five games. Trust me, you're gonna save so much money hanging out here.

Eggggg - Free

A platform game with a twist. And the twist is that it's all about vomiting. Trust me, there's so much blowing chunks in this game that you might start to feel a bit queasy yourself. Still, it's well worth picking it up and bouncing through its levels. With sick. Bouncing with sick.

Soccer Physics - Free

Literally the best game about football ever made. Sort of. It's a big silly slab of nonsense that sees you controlling some useless players in a kick to the death. It's nothing like soccer, but then it's not really supposed to be.

Agent A – 79p / 99c

A wonderful puzzler in the same sort of vein as The Room. It's not a spooky Victorian adventure though, instead you're a spy trying to get out of a trap. It's fun, it's smart, and it's just the right side of quirky. Oodles of fun for your brain and your fingers.

Transistor - £2.99 / $2.99

One of the best action RPGs on the App Store. It's slick, it's got a lovely soundtrack, and it's got some incredible ideas. Wrap that all up in a neon cyberpunk aesthetic and you're left with one of the most engaging games on mobile.

Devil Shard – 99p / 99c

A match-stuff puzzler with a good chunk of RPG depth and some surprisingly fresh ideas up its pixelated sleeve. It might not be the most original game out there, but if you're a fan of the genre you're going to absolutely love this.
