Oh look it's Wednesday again. That means it's time to have a look at the best games that are for sale on the App Store right now. To be honest it's a bit of a rubbish week for sales, but I've picked five games that are worth a look.

It might make more sense to save your money for something else, unless you're really desperate to try out one of the games on offer here.

As usual you can click on the emboldened names to download the various interactive entertainment experiences. And if you've spotted something you think we should have included feel free to let people know in the comments below.

Framed - Free

Definitely the diamond in the rough this week. If you've not played this one before, it's all about shuffling comic panels to move a story forwards. It's a clever mix of an adventure and a puzzler and it's an absolute steal for free.

Lost Portal CCG - 99p / 99c

A super smart solo CCG that sees you venturing into dungeons to take on the beasts below and collect as much loot as possible. It's super slick and, if you're into card games you're going to love this one to absolute pieces.

Star Cat Adventure - Free

It's about a cat in space and it won't cost you anything to download it. What more do you want from your mobile gaming? There are plenty of chunks of the universe to discover, and everything is presented with the sort of glossy sheen any self-respecting moggy would be proud of.

King Cashing 2 - £1.99 / $1.99

A puzzle RPG with a bit of a twist. Instead of matching things you're spinning the reels of a bandit to unleash your fury. It works reasonably well, but there's not really enough here to suck you in for the long haul. Still, it's quite cheap.

Submerged: Miku and the Sunken City - £1.99 / $1.99

A melancholic adventure through a city that's mostly sunk beneath the waves. It has some good ideas, but it doesn't always see them through with the conviction they demand. For less than a couple of quid though it's well worth a look.
