Well Wednesday has really snuck up on us this week hasn't it? Before you know it it'll be Thursday. Then shortly after that it'll be Friday. Then we get two days of laying down before the whole awful carousel of life starts again. Yay.

Anyway, on Wednesday here at AppSpy we like to round up the best games that are on sale on the App Store this week. And I'll have you know that there are some proper gems in the offing this time round. Not like last week. Everyone glower at last week.

As per ever you can click on the emboldened name of the games below to download them. And if you spot anything on sale that you think our lovely readers deserve to hear more about, you can do so in the comments at the bottom of the article.

Kingdom: New Lands - £2.99 / $2.99

A weird and wonderful semi-idler that sees you riding a horse around your kingdom to distribute coins to your subjects. It sounds horribly simple, but in practice there's an incredible amount of depth here. Oh, and it looks absolutely stunning. Definitely worth picking up if you haven't experienced it already.

Telepaint - Free

A game that's all about leading a paint bucket to a paint brush. It truly is a love story for our time. It's also a super tough puzzler with explosions of colour, traps, keys, spikes, and all manner of other things waiting to trip you up. Throw in cutesy graphics and you've got a fine example of mobile gaming done right.

Sproggiwood - £1.99 / $1.99

A super slick roguelike that sees you running through levels that are based on Finnish fairytales. It's every bit as charming as that sounds, but it's also a deep and often tactical experience that's fiendishly compulsive. There are plenty of twists to the formula too, and you'll be kept on your toes every time you play.

Kathy Rain - £1.99 / $1.99

This one's a really clever and super engaging point and click adventure that deals with a lot of subjects other games wouldn't even think about touching. It's gloomy and funny in equal measures, and if you're a fan of the genre you're going to love every second you spend with it.

The Beggar's Ride - £1.99 / $1.99

A platformer that sees you playing as a homeless man who's accidentally given the power of the gods. It looks absolutely stunning, and it's got some really smart ideas threaded through it that'll keep you entertained all the way to the end. Definitely worth checking out if you haven't already.
