Oh look, it's Thursday. Time, as ever, is moving inexorably onwards. Soon the heat death of the universe will be upon us and then, finally, the content can stop being created. Not yet though. Not just yet.

Thursday is when we regale you with the Thursday Find. It's the game we think you should be giving a go this week. If you only get one, then get this one. If you want more, then join us tomorrow when we list the five best games of the week. If there are five games worth mentioning that is.

As per ever you can click on the emboldened name of the game below to download it from the App Store. And if you think we've got this week's find wrong, chuck your own suggestions at the bottom of the article.

Portal Walk

It's a platformer. It's set in a lot of dungeons. It's got chunky chunk chunk pixel graphics. I mean, from that description you're probably going to think this one is super tough. And you're not going to be wrong.

Well, you sort of are. Because this isn't a twitchy platformer like most of them on the App Store. It's tough because the controls are a bit floatier than you're going to be used to.

You're not so much relying on split second reactions as you are having to modify your timing to fit in with the slightly old-fashioned rhythm of play.

It's not perfect, that's for sure, and there are some frustrating moments. But when the game gets things right, it manages to get them very, very right. And that's something we need to be shouting about from the rooftops. Sort of.

This isn't your standard mobile platformer, and while there isn't necessarily more meat on its bones, it's definitely got a different flavour. And it's one that takes some time to get used to.

It won't be to everyone's taste, but there's a lot here to like. And in a week where there's not all that much interesting going on on the App Store, it's definitely worth checking out.
