Oh hi there Thursday. How are things going with you? I honestly don't care. I'm really hungry and I sort of need to get all of these words written before I go to the shops. So let's drop all these niceties and get down to the nitty gritty of hot, steaming content.

Every Thursday at AppSpy we choose one game that we think you should be playing this week. Just one. It's called the Thursday Find, and since we're not messing around here I'm going to get to the end of this paragraph and then write one more and we'll get all the way into the heart of it.

As usual, as you know, as everyone knows, you can click on the emboldened name of the game below to download it from the App Store. And if you think we're wrong and you know better, chuck your own suggestions in the comments at the bottom of the page.

Smashy Duo

There's something super addictive about Smashy Duo. Not addicting though, because that's not a word, and anyone who tells you it is is wrong.

This is a two-touch arcade experience that mixes Breakout with some shiny coins and that most mobile of gaming mainstays, zombies. You're controlling two heroes at the bottom of the screen.

Tap the left to swing the weapon of the one on the left. Tap the right to, well, you get the idea. Using these simple controls you need to keep a ball in play. A ball that is smashing zombies in the face in a super satisfying way.

And that's all there is to it. But it's a brilliant all there is. You'll earn coins and new characters, unlock special monsters that explode or fire out gouts of lightning, and just generally have a lovely, if slightly simple time.

There are loads of new heroes to unlock, new backgrounds to find, and plenty more besides. Sure the game doesn't really change up its gears, but that won't stop you grinning while you play it.

This is mobile gaming done with heart and swagger. It's silly in all the right ways, and if you're looking for a game that's going to pass some time in the best sorts of ways, then it's well worth checking out.
