Destiny 2 comes out tomorrow. And if you're anything like me you've been saving up your pennies for a while to get your hands on it. Well, actually, if you're anything like me you've been staring at your bank account for the last week praying to whatever dark lord you worship that your pay is going to go in soon.

Anyway, what if you want something to scratch that Destiny 2 itch while you're out and about? What mobile games could you possibly purchase to ensure that you're not just staring off into the middle distance dreaming about Golden Guns and Titans? That sounds like something we could cover in our Tuesday best-of doesn't it?

As usual you can click on the emboldened names of the games below to grab them from the App Store. And if you've got your own suggestions as to what games people could play instead of the big D2, then feel free to whomp them in the comments at the bottom of the article. Yeah, that's right, whomp.

Guns of Boom

Probably the finest FPS available on mobile at the moment. It might not have much of a story, and it might not be set in space, but if you're looking for some super-slick team-based violence then you're going to be hard-pressed to find anything better than this. Short sharp battles, lots of character progression, and enough guns that you're going to be collecting, and booming them, for a while.

This one's probably closer in shape to Destiny 2, even if it's mechanically pretty different. You're flying through space, blasting things in dogfights, and trying to keep your piratical space adventures going for as long as possible. It looks gorgeous, there's always something to do, and it's brilliantly designed for mobile play.

If you prefer to play things on your own, because people are awful and they ruin everything they touch, then this brilliant mobile FPS should be the one you pick up. Set in Deus Ex's yellow-hued cyberpunk world, there's more to this than just blasting. A thick story and some interesting choices will keep you playing until the very end.
