Adults and teenagers are the primary users of tablets and smartphones. But these devices are also becoming better and more targeted at children. There are several games and applications for kids that are both entertaining and educational, while providing excellent value. If you're considering giving your child an iPhone or iPad to play around with then check out these awesome games for kids.

1. LEGO DUPLO WORLD

LEGO is not just an excellent physical product for children. They also create some amazing games. Some of these titles include LEGO DC Superheroes, LEGO Scooby-Doo Escape, the NEXO Knights series, the Ninjago series, and there’s a whole lot more. The games aren't that informative or constructive. However, they aim to entertain and fascinate. These games are targeted toward older rather than younger children. For younger children, the mechanics, controls, and concepts might be a bit complicated. The majority of the games are available for free. The handful of premium LEGO games aren't extremely expensive or heavy on the pockets.

2. DUCK DUCK MOOSE

Duck Duck Moose is an iTunes creator with a significant number of children's games. The majority of them are equally informative. Some of the titles like Word Wagon, Fish School, ChatterPix, Moose Math, and Build A Truck are great releases. There are more than a dozen different options available out there. Basic things like simple physics, vivid colours, easy-to-use controls, and some instructional values are all included in the games. These games are more suited for younger than older children as the games contain mainly child-friendly content. The majority of them are also completely free, with no in-app payments required.

3. ANGRY BIRDS SERIES

Angry Birds has been a well-known and loved video game franchise for quite some time. It has become so successful that it has created a movie containing excellent visuals and story. But unfortunately, the games are no longer as famous as they used to be. Most children will be able to understand the physics and controls of the game and not get overwhelmed. The most important thing is the vivid colours and cartoon design adapted quickly by children and adults. The series consists of multiple games, each with hundreds of levels that players can enjoy, with each having something different.

4. ENDLESS ALPHABET

Originator Inc. has produced several popular children's games. The games are targeted toward younger children and are highly educational. Titles like Endless Alphabet, Endless Numbers, Endless Learning Academy, Endless WordPlay, and MathTango are some of the best games with an adequate amount of informative aspects. These are best suited for elementary school students. Older children are likely to be aware of its content, whereas younger children may struggle with the controls. All of the games feature a free version with in-app purchases for additional content.

5. PUZZINGO

This game is an excellent iPhone and iPad game for children. It includes several kid-friendly mini-games to enjoy. Also, it includes over 100 puzzles with excellent graphics, voiceovers, and other features. Many of the games are entertaining, whereas many of them also have learning value. It is a bit expensive, at $14.99. At the same time, the software is of exceptional quality and runs smoothly and efficiently on both iPhone and iPad. Additional mini-games can be purchased for $2.99 each, which is still a bit on the expensive side. However, unless your children are very choosy with a particular mini-game, I suggest getting the entire set all at once for a discount.
