Hands-on with Kingdoms, the effortlessly cool minimalist board game

Kingdoms is cool. Very cool. For a bunch of reasons.

The first is its design. Click play on that video below. See what I mean? Gorgeous, isn't it?

The second is that it's been designed to be played by everyone. You, Poppa Joe, Auntie Sally, and even that mate of yours who thinks games are for dummies.

The third is how intuitive the controls are. Want to take a square? Tap the playfield. Want to build a wall to bolster your defence? Tap and slide. Want to play with two people? It's all on the same device, iPhone or iPad.

Very cool indeed.
