Empires & Allies is Clash of Clans by way of Command & Conquer, and we're totally okay with that. We went hands-on with the game a while back, but it's now gone global on the App Store, and early signs indicate it's just as moreish as we thought it would be.

How we spent our weekend

James: Having spent so much time playing with After Effects this week, I can now see the Matrix for what it truly is. So I guess kung-fu?

Peter: It's Free Comic Book Day on Saturday, so I'll be visiting my local comic book store. Other that, I'll be playing Assassin's Creed: Liberation HD.

Danny: I have no plans and it's going to be great.

Glen: I'm going to London where I'll probably bump into Danny. I won't be playing Batman: Arkham Asylum. Gutted.
