MARVEL VS. CAPCOM 2 Review
CAPCOM generally doesn't skimp on the details when it comes to its fighting game releases on the App Store. It seems almost counter-intuitive to think a serious fighting game could be successful on a small touch-screen, but Street Fighter IV has shown that it's not only possible, but also a lot of fun. As such it's almost unfortunate for Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 to feel as rushed as it does, suffering from bloated controls on smaller iDevices and visuals that looked muddied thanks to poor ...
Grand Theft Auto 3 Review
Editor's Note: For the sake of transparency, yes, I live in Australia and as such the version of the game played was the 'Australian Edition'. As such no hookers were hurt during the making of this review. Except that one time I decided to use the side-walk as a freeway, but then again who hasn't done that? *police siren* *door cracking in background* I'm sorry officers! I was in a rush, please believe me! Slipping back in to Grand Theft Auto 3 for the first time in almost a decade wa...
Top 3 iOS Games for October 2011
I won't lie, I like months like this - the burden of sifting through the games you've played and trying to judge each one on an individual merit to see whether it JUST pips out one game out for another can be at best tiresome, and at worst a frustrating chore as you struggle with some hair-splitting decisions. So when I get a month like this past October with its huge highlights, the only problem I have left is stopping myself from gushing too much about these titles.
So, if you've got a budget or if you're just looking for the best of the best, here's the Top 3 iPhone Games for October 2011.

To be sure, any developer worth their salt sho... Read More
4-Player Split-Screen Mode Incoming In Real R...
To no great surprise whatsoever, Firemint's technically astounding Real Racing 2 roared onto AppSpy's round-up of 2010's best games in January.
Improvements in the graphical, handling, and multiplayer departments were obvious even to the untrained eye, yet Real Racing 2's creators Firemint want to push the technological envelope further.
One of the most intriguing - and potentially revolutionary - elements from a gaming perspective in the forthcoming iOS 5 software update is AirPlay Mirroring, which pipes content from an iPhone 4S onto a HD TV wirelessly.
And Real Racing 2 will be one of the first iPhone titles to take advantage of this new feature once iOS 5 is made available to the publ... Read More
Celebrity Pack Brings Glamour To Top Trumps C...
Turn-based card game Top Trumps will never go out of fashion. I should know - I've been addicted to it since 24th March, 1991.
To ensure Top Trumps keeps up with the times, the brains behind the iPhone spin-off app Top Trumps Collection are regularly dealing out content updates to its stat-hungry players.
So, after shuffling up the Top Trumps pack recently with a bespoke European Football Stars edition, Mobile Pie and Connect2Media are playing what they hope is the 'ace' card.
The newly available Celebrity pack, which retails for a meagre 99c, tests your knowledge of A-listers across a range of fields.

Jelly Defense Review
It seems odd that despite having other games under their belt, the one thing that stands out in my mind from Infinite Dreams is 'Let's Create! Pottery'. It's strange because Pottery is less of a game and more of a toy with some objectives, but more importantly because their Jelly series of mini-games has finally culminated in the recent release of Jelly Defense on the App Store. What's immediately striking about Jelly Defense is the simple, yet perfectly zany aesthetic that uses littl...
Pocket RPG iPhone Edition Review
While there are those who wish for nothing more than a juicy RPG that compels them to spend hours mastering skills or defeating labyrinthine dungeons, the iPhone and iPod Touch are arguably not well suited for such epic tales. This hasn't stopped developers from making or fans from loving attempts at bringing classic RPG features to the App Store, but when a developer like Crescent Moon Games thinks outside the box to try something new I have to admit I get a little excited. Pocket RP...
Top 3 iOS Games of August 2011
It's that time of the month and this one was an easy one to pick too, so I'm doubley excited (is that even a word?)... no matter, enjoy this month's selection of top tier games for your iPhone or iPod Touch!

Blobster Review
In Blobster you control 'Blobster' who is trying to save Blobtopia from pollution at the hands of the Big & Powerful Corporation run by the evil Blobzilla. Blobster must collect Blobules - the fuel that keeps Blobtopia running - if he hopes to ever bring Blobzilla and the B&P Corporation down... and if I ever have to say Blob again, it'll be too soon. Blobster is split up into four worlds, each with ten regular levels and a few bonus levels opened by high scores. Each stage co...
QuBIT Review
As much as reviewers like to espouse the virtues of video games and (with their critics hat on) even point out why something works, there are games that come by now and then that seem to almost defy deeper analysis. QuBIT by Secret Sauce is, quite simply, a fun game to play and despite only having one mode of play it's an easy game to keep coming back to. The basic premise of QuBIT is to collect as much 'Obscurium' from the planet surface as possible, unfortunately you have a limited ...

Reality TV is a rather divisive subject: some see it purely as televisual trash, while others consume every last possible second of it.
Whatever your opinion is, tomato shooter / karaoke character creation title American Tomato has you covered. It offers more than enough to keep lovers and haters of reality TV comfortably entertained.
Micky Fridlov of Aio Synergy, the game’s developer, talked to us about how American Tomato managed to get reality TV to work in an interactive format, the game’s endless customisation options, and the future plans for the title.

New Quests Added To MMORPG Order & Chaos Onli...
Ying and yang. Black and white. Crouch and Messi. iPod and Zune. To that list of famous polar opposites, we should, natch, add Order & Chaos.
Gameloft decided to take these two sides of the state space coin online in its World of Warcraft-esque title on iPhone at the end of April.
Fast forward two months and this 3D, real-time epic MMORPG has levelled-up to version 1.0.2.
So, what's in store for all the Elves, Orcs, and Undead who brave the App Store forest and click 'Update' when prompted?
New quests, language-specific chat channels, additional armour sets, and a teleporter in Greenmont, mainly.
And if you happen to be particularly rubbish at battling and consistently meet your vir... Read More
Colourful RPG Tiny Lights Illuminates The iPh...
Tiny Lights is an intriguing-looking iPhone RPG, which has been co-developed by Fluid Pixel and Darling Dash. Oh, it's out now, too.
In the game, you play as a group of Pikmin-esque tiny lights, all of varying colours and abilities, and all pottering about in a world basked in darkness.
It's not some kinda' cutesy cakewalk, though.
In addition to finding the pillars of power that have been stolen by the greedy light eaters, you must collect coins, find scrolls, make friends, and scrap with enemies. All before breakfast.
Tiny Lights is available now for iPhone and iPod touch priced 99c. Read More
Simigo Set Bumpy Road's Wheels In Motion
Swedish two-man indie team Simogo made their debut on iPhone with the beautifully drawn arcader Kosmo Spin just before Christmas.
Brilliantly for us – and indeed you - it’s only taken Simon and Magnus five months to follow that AppSpy 4* game up.
Bumpy Road is described by its creators as a ‘love story on four wheels’, with the romantic leads played by an elderly couple in a vintage motor.
By tapping on the touchscreen, you ‘bump’ the side-scrolling senior citizens over platforms, collecting bits and bobs along the voyage.
Game Center leaderboards and achievements are integrated into Bumpy Road, while Retina display support delivers an extra visual sparkle to owners of an iPhone 4 or iPo... Read More
World of Goo Review
NOTE: While our site is still indicating the initial discount price of $0.99, the App has returned to its full price of $2.99 as of 15th April 2011. There are few games as easy to recommend for your desktop PC as World of Goo by 2D BOY; while there are similar titles that could be considered more challenging, the charming story and presentation of this game goes a long way to absorb and lock players in. Its eventual release on the iPad was a boon for the iOS device and a great way to ...
